Summary

We are seeking a passionate and results-oriented professional to play a vital role in our commitment to urban sustainability. As part of Urban's Sustainable Solutions team, you will focus on Greenhouse Gas (GHG) reporting and tracking for our key projects. You will also collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop decarbonization strategies and oversee the implementation of mitigation initiatives to achieve our environmental targets.

Responsibilities

• Identify and curate actionable sustainability strategies across the Company and its business units.
• Manage regularly the account of the assigned business units, oversee implementation of Urban sustainability roadmap and work closely with all stakeholders (internal and external) to plan, execute, monitor and assess the outcome of each project within the business units.
• Evaluate the techno-commercial viability of any sustainability features, in consultation with internal or external solution specialists.
• Spearhead, partner and co-own the successful implementation of the identified sustainability KPIs and initiatives with the business units to support the Company’s sustainability commitments.
• Provide inputs to the Company’s Sustainability Roadmap as a member of the Sustainability Team including regular assessment/ update of the Sustainability Master Plan targets (including equivalent assessments of green certifications in the urban environment).
• Conduct assessments for new investments and Asset Enhancement Initiatives to meet Sustainability Roadmap targets. Coordinate with and assist stakeholders (internal and external) to complete the assessment and recommend risk-mitigation and sustainable solutions opportunities.
• Support GHG emissions-related data collection from the assigned business units and participate in overall Scope 1, 2 & 3 emissions assessment, emissions target setting, tracking and reporting.

The Ideal Candidate Should Possess

• Bachelor degree in Environmental Science, or other environmental sustainability related disciplines.
• Ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of experience in the sustainability field.
• Knowledge in the commercialized decarbonization solutions in the urban environment is a must.
• Able to work both independently and in a team across departments and regions.
• Familiar with capital improvement projects relating to energy efficiency.
• Familiar with GHG emissions and ESG standards and reporting, carbon footprint calculations, and use of environmental attributes such as Renewable Energy Certificates and high-quality carbon offsets
• Experience in developing and implementing strategies to achieve Net-Zero goals in accordance to SBTi framework
• Experience in green building certifications e.g. Green Mark, LEED or EDGE, as well as ISO standards for best practices in real estate operations, will be an added advantage.
• Proven strong customer relationship management, stakeholder engagement and vendor management skills.
