Job Description

Ameresco's Operations & Maintenance Group is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team at Parris Island, SC. In this hands-on role, you will perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on a variety of mechanical and electrical systems including chillers, ozone systems, water softeners, and power plant equipment.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions across various systems.
- Perform preventative maintenance and repair services on mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Inspect equipment regularly to ensure operational safety and performance.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized maintenance warehouse and office.
- Learn and utilize Asset Planner software for daily, monthly, and annual PMs.
- Communicate parts and materials needs to the manager for timely ordering.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and company policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of maintenance experience.
- Valid Driver's License in good standing.
- Ability to review confidential US security information.
- Must live within one hour of Parris Island.

- Military, technical, or vocational training.
- Strong problem-solving and diagnostic abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Attention to detail and sound judgment.
- Clear and effective communication (verbal, written, and digital).
- Professionalism, accountability, and a positive attitude.
- Commitment to safety standards and best practices.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Ability to lift/move up to 75 lbs. and perform physical labor for extended periods.
- Able to work in various physical positions (climbing, kneeling, standing, etc.).
- Must be able to use tools and operate maintenance equipment.
Environmental Conditions
- Outdoor work environment in all weather conditions.
- Exposure to heat, cold, humidity, dust, and fumes.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.

- This is a contractor position on a military base; it does not lead to government employment.
- Relocation assistance is not provided.
- Must demonstrate a positive attitude and quality workmanship daily.
