Senior Engineer - Concept Development (m/w/d)

Responsibilities

• Develop and evaluate concept designs for manufacturing layouts, tools, and processes.
• Perform feasibility studies and simulations for new or modified production setups.
• Ensure integration of new concepts into the global manufacturing network.
• Provide technical expertise in industrial and mechanical engineering for NPI projects.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Production Engineering, Operations, Documentation Management, Sourcing, etc.) to ensure the successful implementation of new solutions.
• Identify and assess new technologies, methods, and tools to enhance manufacturing excellence.
• Prepare and communicate technical documentation, layouts, and reports to key internal stakeholders and suppliers.
• Contribute to knowledge sharing and standardization across all manufacturing sites.
• Promote a culture of lean, innovation, and integration within the manufacturing organization.

Our requirements

Must have:

• Strong foundation in manufacturing engineering/industrial engineering principles.
• Knowledge of manufacturing layouts and process flows.
• Proficiency in process optimization methodologies.
• Ability to design and evaluate production tooling, trolleys, jigs, gauges, and fixtures.
• Understanding of manufacturing systems integration (automation, digitalization, MES/ERP interfaces).
• Experience in concept development, from ideation, through feasibility study and requirements management, to prototyping and implementation.
• Analytical skills for capacity planning, takt/cycle time analysis, and line balancing
• Knowledge of safety, ergonomics, and sustainability in manufacturing environments.

Nice to have:

• Expertise in mechanical engineering, specifically tool/equipment design.
• Competence with CAD/CAE tools for layout and equipment design.

Educational Qualification Required:

• Engineering Degree within Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or similar.

Relevant Experience Required:

• NPI, working in project teams.

Customer/ Supplier Interaction:

• Yes - Discussing Requirements.

Experience:

• 5 to 8 Years.

Work Location:

• KK Factory, Dabaspet, Bangalore.
