We are looking for a Quality Engineer with a main responsibility in Ultrasonic Testing (UT). The preferred location for this position is Vaasa, Finland. We offer the possibility of hybrid work.

Your role and responsibilities

As a Quality Engineer your work will include UT testing as well as development of UT processes and equipment. The tasks can also be adjusted based on your individual skills and interests. You'll be working as a part of Supplier Quality Assurance team with diverse expertise.

Your work will focus on these responsibilities

• Ultrasonic testing (UT) of specific materials
• Development of UT processes
• Development of UT equipment
• JV and Supplier inspection support
• Supplier Quality Assurance quality instruction and process creation and updating
• Quality, environmental and safety culture development
• Initiate supplier process development activities based on measured performance to secure first time right

To be able to succeed in the position, we expect you to have

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. or equivalent (in engineering, or similar)
• Good communication, team working, and social skills
• Systematic and active approach to working
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Strong IT skills (e.g., SAP knowledge)
• Minimum 2-3 years' experience in UT inspection methods
• Willingness to travel
• Willingness to complete NDT level 2 certificate
• Fluent in spoken and written Finnish or Swedish and English
