Job Description

We're looking for a Project Coordinator to join our Dumfries & Galloway team within SP Energy Networks' Distribution business. In this role, you'll play a vital part in delivering overhead line refurbishment projects, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with regulatory and business objectives.
What you'll be doing
- Supervise overhead line contractors delivering projects in Dumfries & Galloway.
- Manage site delivery of underground cable laying projects.
- Develop robust project plans to minimise outages and meet licence obligations.
- Liaise with landowners, customers, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Monitor performance targets including capex spend, technical closure, and customer service.
- Promote and ensure compliance with all safety legislation and standards.
What you'll bring
- Project/programme coordination experience.
- Knowledge of regulatory environment and incentive mechanisms.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and devise solutions to challenges.
- Technical and operational experience in a relevant engineering role.
- Working knowledge of construction and maintenance standards (LV up to 33kV).
- Computer literacy and familiarity with systems such as SAP.
Minimum Criteria
- Crafts qualification, apprenticeship, S/NVQ, or equivalent experience.
- Previous LV experience.
- Good customer service skills.
- Relevant network construction and operational experience.
