Hvad de gør

Operating as a senior member across multiple project teams, you will be responsible for making application design decisions, managing and delivering effective application solutions, and collaborating with global technology teams and external vendors on behalf of ScottishPower's UK businesses.

A key aspect of the role is to provide expert advice and UK input to the global definition of strategy, standards, and procedures for specific application areas. You will work closely with stakeholders at all levels-including very senior executives-to gather requirements for new functionalities, lead workshops, and ensure solutions are aligned with business objectives. The role also encompasses project management responsibilities, including planning, scheduling, resource allocation, risk management, and ensuring timely delivery of project milestones.

Additionally, you will manage demand from various business areas, act as Product Expert, and ensure the effective design, configuration, and implementation of a range of corporate applications (including, but not limited to, ServiceNow HRSD). Experience or knowledge of ServiceNow is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, configuration, and deployment of corporate application solutions that meet business requirements across multiple functions.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for managing and gathering business demand, defining product vision and roadmaps, and prioritising initiatives to deliver value.
  • Engage with senior stakeholders to elicit and validate requirements, facilitate workshops, and maintain strong communication channels to ensure transparency and alignment.
  • Manage end-to-end delivery of application projects, including scope definition, progress tracking, and risk management.
  • Oversee and coordinate testing strategies, ensuring thorough validation and quality assurance.
  • Provide guidance and technical expertise to junior team members and facilitate knowledge-sharing sessions.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the Corporate Digital Transformation strategy, ensuring alignment with both local and global models.
  • Investigate new application solutions and work with external vendors to identify technologies that meet business goals.
  • Validate financial cost assumptions and ensure alignment of projects with core IT strategy.
  • Support the transition of new solutions into production and ensure operational readiness.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and optimisation within application processes and workflows.

Skills and Experience

  • Demonstrable experience in application configuration, development, and workflow optimisation across a range of platforms (not limited to ServiceNow).
  • Experience managing demand and acting as Product Owner for enterprise applications, ideally within a corporate or digital transformation context.
  • Proven ability to lead meetings and workshops with very senior stakeholders, gathering and translating business requirements into actionable solutions.
  • Strong project management skills, with experience overseeing complex projects and coordinating implementation teams.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills, with experience working across multiple corporate functions.
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes and frameworks is highly desirable.
  • Adaptability to evolving business needs and technologies, and the ability to build effective relationships with key stakeholders locally and globally.
  • Experience working with global IT teams and vendors is advantageous.
