- Simulate and analyze system performance under diverse scenarios, including ERCOT grid requirements and IEEE 2800 compliance.
- Provide technical guidance to other controls engineers on running tests and interpreting results.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure models and tests align with project objectives and regulatory standards.
- Maintain documentation of models, test procedures, and compliance reports.
- Other duties as required by management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems, or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in control systems modeling and simulation.
- Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink for dynamic system modeling.
- Hands-on experience with Opal-RT and Speedgoat platforms for HIL testing.
- Strong understanding of power systems, grid interconnection standards, and control theory.
- Familiarity with ERCOT requirements and IEEE 2800 standards.
- Experience developing automated test frameworks and generating reports.
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python) for automation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
