Process Engineer
Gen2 Energy's mission is to create green hydrogen from renewable energy sources. We do this for the benefit of future generations, thus contributing to bring about the green shift - ultimately doing our share to save the planet. Gen2 Energy's vision is to be a key provider of large-scale containerized green hydrogen to markets in Europe - delivered safely as a smart and easy "plug-and-play" service. Gen2 Energy is dedicated to developing, building, owning, and operating a complete and integrated value chain for green hydrogen by the end of 2025. The company is establishing large-scale production sites for pressurized green hydrogen, based on 100 percent renewable energy, at different locations in Norway. We will operate an intelligent logistics network to ensure cost-efficient and smart delivery of Green Hydrogen-as-a-Service to customers in Europe.
To strengthen our fast-growing team, we are seeking a Process Engineer.
We are strengthening our team and are searching for new colleagues who can strengthen and develop technology competence in G2E. Support and work on behalf of the EVP Project Development in projects, applications, calculations and technology presentations. And planning for operations and ensure operations considerations in the plant design. The Process Engineer will report the EVP Project Development and become part of a creative competence environment in the company. Location preferably to be around South- east Norway or Mosjøen.
We expect you to
- Follow up FEED and EPC contractor with operational experience
- Ensure operational and maintenance considerations are included in plant design
- Generate expertise and knowhow in project execution
Job description
- Support all units in G2E on technical issues reporting to EVP Project Development
- Support sales on technology challenges to solve to stimulate customers to buy our products
- Help planning the operations and logistics functions
- Benchmark plant design with operational requirements and best practices
- Evaluate technology risk and perform cost calculations
- Follow up important technology suppliers and developers
- Active technology risk management
Education and desired skills
- Bachelor or Master's degree, engineering or equivalent education
- Preferably have a broad technological background, electrolysis & process
- Understand the big picture around climate and environment
- Minimum 5 years of experience from onshore industrial operations
- Fluent in English and a Scandinavian language, both verbally and written
