Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive environmental health and safety policies and procedures for the Solar PV Module Manufacturing Plant.
  • Conduct risk assessments and identify potential environmental and safety hazards, providing recommendations for preventive measures.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable local and national environmental, health, and safety regulations and standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain proper waste management, pollution control, and emergency response systems.
  • Monitor and report on key environmental performance indicators, such as waste generation, greenhouse gas emissions, and energy consumption.
  • Develop and implement training programs to raise employee awareness of environmental health and safety practices and regulations.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential environmental and safety issues and ensure adherence to established protocols.
  • Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, prepare detailed reports, and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
  • Coordinate with relevant regulatory agencies to ensure timely reporting, permit renewals, and compliance with applicable laws.
  • Stay up to date with emerging environmental health and safety regulations and best practices.
  • Continuously promote a culture of sustainability, environmental responsibility, and safety across the organization.

Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering/Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field. A Master’s degree would be a plus.
  • Degree/Diploma from RLI/CLI is a must.
  • Certification in Environmental Management Systems (e.g., ISO 14001) and Occupational Health and Safety (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA, ISO 45001) is required.
  • Proven experience as an Environment Health & Safety professional in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the Solar PV or renewable energy industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of local and national environmental regulations and standards, specifically related to Solar PV Module Manufacturing.

Solar Module Manufacturing Experience and Degree/Diploma from RLI/CLI is a must
