Commercial Legal Counsel

Our organization is a leading supplier of sustainable fuels and is are growing! That’s why FincoEnergies is looking for a talented Commercial Legal Counsel to join our team. In this role you will be challenged to shape the commercial legal framework further across the entire business, thereby contributing to the organisation growth. As Commercial Legal Counsel you will manage all legal aspects of our commercial activities, including drafting contracts, contract negotiations, claims management and regulatory trade compliance.

In this position you report directly to the General Counsel. In addition, in your role you will work closely with your colleagues from all business divisions in Rotterdam and Amsterdam. If you enjoy working in a dynamic and rapidly growing organization, this is your opportunity to seize!

Your responsibilities as a Commercial Legal Counsel

• Draft, review and negotiate commercial contracts;
• Contribute to the development of commercial legal framework (including policies and procedures across the business);
• Support General Counsel and provide legal advice to management and internal stakeholders;
• Identify and assess legal risks associated with commercial transactions;
• Develop and implement strategies to mitigate legal risks and protect the interest of the company;
• Increase awareness and knowledge throughout the company;
• Claim management.

As our new Frontrunner you bring

• Relevant degree in law;
• 4 to 8 years of work experience with focus on commercial contracts;
• Preferably experience within the (renewable) energy market;
• Proficient in the English and Dutch language, written and spoken;
• Intrinsic motivation to contribute to the energy transition;
• Strong analytical capabilities, commercial mindset and proactively enterprising.
