Job Summary

As we continue to grow, we are looking for a world-class MS SQL Database Administrator based in Hyderabad, India and reporting to the Manager, Application DBA. In an industry that is reshaping the world’s energy future, there’s no better place to be.

This position is responsible for MS SQL Databases supporting Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), HR and other business application & database operations within Maxeon application landscape. Support extends to boundary systems such as Tableau, Hyperion Datamart and Informatica. We value pushing boundaries, holding ourselves to a higher standard, and thriving together. You’ll be responsible for

• Provide support for MS SQL Server for both production and non-production environments.
• Install, configure, patch, administer, clone MS SQL Server 2019 with always on and high availability.
• Manage Database replication and backup.
• Apply latest security patches.
• Configure and manage database alerts and reports
• Good knowledge on Database performance tuning, index rebuild
• Work and collaborate with different internal and external teams and partners like Information security internal and external auditors / Microsoft Support / etc.
• Clone / restore database on-demand and on scheduled basis
• Need to be outcome oriented, partner and drive alignment with cross functional teams on enterprise-wide initiatives.
• Deliver internal and external audit requirements.
• Perform other duties that may be assigned.

You should bring

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computing Engineering or Computer Science or similar degree
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience as an MS SQL DBA
• Experience with Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO), using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools
• Knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server Enterprise and Standard Editions.
• Knowledge on different auditing and CDC features on MS SQL.
• 8x5 office hours support and 24x7 standby for Incident support. Flexible to work on weekends and holidays.
• Experience on Log shipping, DB mirroring, data replication is a must.
• Experience with backups, restores and recovery models using native method
• Experience working with Windows server, including Active Directory
• Excellent written and verbal communication

It would be Nice if You Have

• Experience with backups, restores and recovery models using Druva Cloud is preferred.
• Knowledge in Cloud computing AWS/Azure is preferred.
• Knowledge in other Databases such as Oracle, MySQL, PostgresSQL is preferred.
