Over the past few years we have successfully supported Apprentices to achieve a relevant engineering qualification and secure a permanent position. In conjuncion with UHI Inverness we are offering an Apprenticeship.

What will I be getting involved with and learn?

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance according to Nordex manuals and regulations
• Autonomously do simple repairs of turbines, troubleshooting and fault-finding
• Carry out complex repair-processes in collaboration with the local technical support and lead technician
• Carry out planned maintenance-/inspection-activities with sub-contractors
• Carry out repair or exchange of main components in cooperation with the respective specialists (e.g. Gearbox)
• Conduct all preparation work for all maintenance activities
• Perform all work with high quality and
• Perform all work with a high HSE focus by following all HSE regulations in place
• Check PPE daily & weekly
• Vehicle checks to ensure they are in good condition and road worthy
• Responsible for good housekeeping at site to ensure that everyone can work in a safely following the appropriate site rules.
• Report accurately and in due time: Safety observations, ADM data inputs, timekeeping, maintenance, repairs and SAP MI
• Check inventory of spare parts stock and be responsible for material on site
• Other Service relates tasks

To Succeed you will have the following:

• Attained 5 qualifications at GCSE or equivalent and these should include Maths, English and Science.
• Must be eligible to work in the UK
• Must reach minimum of 18 years of age by end of first year at the latest in order to work at heights (Global Wind Organisation requirement)
