Job Description
Do you want to be a part of the solution in Transitional Energy industry? If you are passionate about Structural and Mechanical engineering and want to play an important role in ensuring the energy of the future, then you are the one we have been looking for!
Creating mechanical and structural solutions for the energy industry is what we do best in the Structural & Mechanical Engineering team. Here you will find passionate, experienced, and dedicated people across all levels, including project managers, specialists, and engineers.
Due to our work being project based, you will never have two days that are the same. The projects that you will be working on are varied, but our most important task is to ensure that we are supporting our clients with the solutions that they need, whether that is structural solutions for offshore wind farms, mechanical solutions for PtX industry, or vice versa.
Examples of equipment you will be developing:
- Steel structures
- Lifting equipment
- Transport frames
- Installation equipment
- Service equipment
- Sea fastening + layout
- Container solutions
Your tasks & responsibilities
You are expected to lead the development of solutions in a large range of different projects. Here you will work closely together with project managers, calculation specialists, designers, and the fabrication team in to combine our extensive experience from both engineering and fabrication.
Some of your tasks will include but are not limited to:
- FEED studies, Design Basis and Concept development
- Detail design of steel structures and mechanical solutions
- Design documentation
- Quality control of documents and drawings
- Client & supplier contact
- Surveys onshore & offshore
- Participation in sales work
Your profile & qualifications
As a person you are proactive and result-oriented, you value creating technical solutions in cooperation with your colleagues. Naturally you have a good technical understanding, you should likewise be curious and willing to investigate and learn new areas to secure development in projects as personal. Overall, you are a positive and outgoing person, you value creating lasting relationships with the people around you, and you are passionate about what you do.
To succeed in this position, we expect that you have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering, structural engineering, marine engineering or similar
- Experience with structural and mechanical design, preferably from the offshore wind industry
- Great communication skills in English, verbal and written
- Knowledge of Ansys, Staad.Pro and SolidWorks is beneficial
