Senior Manager - Operational Technology

As manager of the OT Team, you will be central in defining, developing and deploying our OT strategy for utility-scale renewable energy plants. The reliable operation of wind, solar, energy storage, and Power-to-X plants is crucial for securing an energy system entirely powered by renewable energy, and the OT infrastructure forms a foundation for this.

You will lead a small team of specialists that interacts with key internal stakeholders within InfoSec, EPC, Asset Management & Operations as well as our Power-to-X business.

Your responsibility will be to operationalize our Cybersecurity programs and related Risk Management in European Energy.

The Role

Working within OT, you will tie together the IT, automation, and process subject competencies. The common mission for construction projects and operating assets is to ensure efficient and reliable lifetime operation of the infrastructure by standardizing the systems across technologies and geographies.

As Senior Manager of OT, you will work closely with external and internal experts in cyber security, compliance, design and operation of renewable plants, SCADA, Solar, Wind, BESS and Power-to-X. You will be functionally responsible for the OT area and for prioritizing European Energy's implementations of OT projects and operation of existing infrastructure in collaboration with stakeholders and management.

Areas of Responsibility

• Setting and executing European Energy OT Strategy.
• Regulatory compliance of OT systems deployed for distributed renewable energy assets in alignment w. Infosec and Legal. Support during audits.
• Responsible for OT requirements and OT reference architecture.
• Facilitate commercials (CAPEX and OPEX) for OT systems.
• Vendor qualifications, specification and selection of OT devices, control systems and other plant infrastructure, securing standardisation across technologies.
• Cyber security platform responsibility.
• Contributing technical perspectives in risk assessments and data acquisition strategy, including logging and redundancy.
• Alignment of OT design with relevant engineering teams: SCADA, Electrical, PtX and O&M.
• Supervision of OT Installations and Maintenance, operational tests and functionality and security during commissioning.
• Portfolio Management, project and task prioritization.
• Second line support on OT operational issues, incidents and issues with potential system changes for improved resilience.
• Data integrations. Support integration of OT data into asset performance management (APM) and ensure high availability and resilience of control systems supporting asset operations through system upgrade, patching and modernization initiatives.

About You

You have some years of manager experience as well as background within cyber security, engineering, IT, or automation combined with an interest in energy systems. You have 3-5 years of experience in OT or similar fields such as building automation or SCADA engineering.

Furthermore, you possess:

• Deep knowledge of frameworks such as IEC 62443.
• In-depth understanding and experience with IEC 60870, IEC 61850, Modbus, OPC-UA, DNP3, and MQTT.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience with BESS solutions is an advantage.
• Full professional proficiency in English; proficiency in Danish or German is a plus.
