We are looking for a colleague, who would join the Data Engineering Team and help us develop Data solutions in a cloud based Microsoft Fabric data platform. Advanced data analytics will be one of our key sources of global competitive advantages. Sales, financial, technical, people, smart metering and a lot more of Ignitis group energy data solutions. If that speaks to you, we'd be happy to welcome you to our team!

Take YOUR part in #EnergySmart!

You will contribute to the creation of a green and secure energy ecosystem by

  • Building and maintaining reliable and scalable data pipelines using Python, Airflow, and Microsoft Fabric
  • Integrating data from diverse sources (on‑prem, cloud, APIs) into a unified data platform
  • Implementing and improving lakehouse / warehouse data models and transformation layers
  • Supporting data quality, monitoring, security, and compliance across pipelines and storage
  • Collaborating with senior engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver data solutions
  • Participating in solution design discussions and contributing to production rollouts
  • Continuously improving existing pipelines, performance, and data reliability

Required for this position

  • 2 - 4 years of experience in data engineering or a closely related role
  • Strong SQL and Python skills
  • Solid understanding of ETL / ELT, data modeling, and warehouse/lakehouse concepts
  • Experience building and maintaining data pipelines using orchestration tools (e.g. Airflow)
  • Awareness of data quality, security, and governance best practices
  • Ability to work independently on tasks while collaborating effectively within a team
  • Motivation to learn, grow technically, and take increasing ownership over time

Would be an advantage

  • Experience or familiarity with Microsoft Fabric and/or Microsoft Azure
  • Exposure to data governance or data cataloging tools
  • Experience working with large‑scale or complex data ecosystems

In return for creating a more sustainable future, we promise

  • A package of additional benefits to choose from: pension accumulation, health insurance, or another benefit from the selectable benefits list in the MELP application
  • Additional paid days for health improvement, short-term illness, volunteering, and accumulated work experience
  • A hybrid work model (3+2) and flexible working hours
  • Internal career opportunities
  • Extensive learning and qualification enhancement programs
  • Mentorship-based culture designed to facilitate meaningful and value-driven work
  • Take part in an unfolding energy transformation process to create a 100% green and secure energy ecosystem for both current and future generations

Join a growing and increasingly international team of energy smart people united by a common purpose. We all play our part in creating a 100 % secure and green energy ecosystem for current and future generations.

And the way to achieve this is certainly not to wait for the perfect moment. We believe that the power to act comes from the charge we bring to our work every day. United by purpose. Owning the challenge. Passion for reinvention. Pursuing excellence. These are our mindsets. Together, they yield the energy that drives everything we do. The energy generated by our choices. If you are guided by the same mindsets - we look forward to welcoming you to our team!
