Are you looking to join an international company in the renewable energy industry where you can make a difference every day? This is your chance to make a real impact on the renewable energy landscape in Czechia and Slovakia through developing and coordinating our wind- and solar (PV) projects in this market.
European Energy is a green company in exponential growth. We develop, construct, and operate projects within solar- (PV) and wind farms globally, as well as Power-to-X. Our core values are the foundation of everything we do: In it together, Trust and courage, Ambition, Excitement, Inclusion, and Agility.
Your new team
You will be part of our global project organisation, which is in charge of the origination and development of our projects across all markets. You will drive our pipeline of wind, PV and BESS projects in Czechia and Slovakia with reference to our Regional Manager for Southeast Europe and in very close collaboration with the SEE regional team across several other markets and our HQ in Copenhagen.
You will also be working together with colleagues from other departments based in our HQ from EPC, PPA, M&A etc and in many cases with external service providers.
Your new role
As our new Project Manager, your focus will be on developing and managing our wind, solar (PV) and BESS projects in Czechia and Slovakia in order to build up the renewable energy pipeline across the region and ensure throughput on our large pipeline of development projects, having the responsibility of advancing projects through development processes across disciplines like site evaluation, land rights, permitting, stakeholder engagement, engineering solutions, yield/topo/geotech studies and much more to bring projects to ready-to-build status and beyond. As an essential part of your role, you engage and coordinate with internal stakeholders as well as external service providers and local associations.
How you will make an impact
- You develop and manage projects, moving them from inception to ready to build (RTB) status and beyond, in close collaboration with internal and external partners.
- You prepare stakeholder mapping and engagement plans in collaboration with the rest of the team.
- You prepare and submit project applications and documentation to relevant authorities.
- You prepare and execute project development plan and expense budget in collaboration with the rest of the team.
- You screen and identify land plots and potential areas for renewable energy development projects and negotiate the process of signing land lease agreements with landowners.
- You stay up to date on overall renewable energy market development.
- You represent European Energy in local events and associations.
- You provide support to the projects up to Commercial Operation Date (COD).
Your profile
You have solid interpersonal and collaboration skills to engage and coordinate with various stakeholders, keeping a high speed, while maintaining focus and attention to detail. You show flexibility, have good structural skills, and thrive in a motivated and multidisciplinary environment. Moreover, we expect:
- You have significant experience with project management.
- You have experience from the renewable energy sector, preferably from greenfield development of solar and/or wind – alternatively, experience from construction project development and permitting.
- You have good communication skills and are fully proficient in English and Czech.
- You have a relevant university degree or similar, within e.g., engineering, business administration, legal, or finance.
- You may have experience serving as a local statutory representative or proxy within subsidiaries or Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs), with a solid understanding of local legal and regulatory obligations.
- You have experience working with Microsoft Office.
- You have a driving license.
With us, you get
- The opportunity to make a difference in Czechia and Slovakia for renewable energy to ensure lower energy prices and energy security for the region.
- The benefit of being part of a local but multinational and agile team, committed to grow through the green transition.
- The opportunity for knowledge-sharing across countries as part of a larger regional team in Southeast Europe.
- To be part of an international company on an exponential growth adventure, offering opportunities for personal growth.
- The chance to represent one of the major market players, covering the full range of renewable energy (PV, onshore and offshore wind, BESS, and Power-to-X).
