As the Head of IT and Digitalisation, you will have a broad scope, including hands-on problem solving paired with the overall responsibility for developing and implementing a comprehensive IT and digitalisation plan aligned with business goals. You will lead the IT team, ensuring a seamless, secure, and efficient IT environment, where process optimization and data management are important leavers for our continued success.
At Nordic Solar, you will have the opportunity to shape the IT landscape of the company and our digital strategy, as well as contribute to the renewable energy sector.
The IT team has recently merged with our Documentation team and consists of four IT professionals (one is currently vacant), a student assistant, and a Head of Documentation with two reports. The team has a supportive and collaborative team dynamic. You will report directly to the CPO, and will collaborate with various stakeholders across the organization, ensuring that our IT set-up and solutions effectively support the business.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Provide engaging leadership to the team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and professional development.
- Ensure and create structure and governance related to IT vendors, licenses, user access etc.
- Ensure the performance and reliability of technology across the company - including supporting our EPC and Operations teams with tools and systems needed to run our plants.
- Ensure and maintain a high degree of IT-security and compliance (including NIS2 compliance).
- Support and enable organizational efficiency by improving internal processes with automation when possible.
- Manage the IT budget, planning, targets, tracking, and forecasting.
About You
- A master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience leading an IT team or similar leadership role in IT management.
- Expertise in data architecture, data governance, and data management.
- Strong knowledge across a broad range of technology areas, including infrastructure, networking, security, and systems administration.
- Experience with regulatory requirements and compliance standards related to technology.
- Knowledge and curiosity towards emerging technologies and trends in data analytics, automation, and AI.
- A strategic mindset with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and people skills, capable of engaging stakeholders at all levels.
- Familiarity with cloud computing and a solid understanding of the energy sector will be advantageous.
