Job Description

The Real Time Support Generalist - Distributed Generation Operations is responsible for ensuring the reliable, efficient, and secure operation of distributed generation assets across multiple sites. This role encompasses daily operational tasks, proactive system management, and the maintenance of high standards in reporting and documentation. The ideal candidate will demonstrate technical proficiency, organizational excellence, and strong communication skills within a fast-paced energy environment. This position is an entry level leading to Real Time Dispatcher.

Key Responsibilities

Testing and Operational Procedures

  • Conduct daily system testing routines to verify operational status and performance of distributed generation equipment.
  • Monitor remote platforms for anomalies and initiate corrective actions as necessary.
  • Maintain professional and accurate records of all communications.

Fuel Management

  • Monitor fuel levels and consumption rates to ensure continuous operation of generation assets.
  • Coordinate with suppliers for timely fuel deliveries and manage inventory to prevent shortages.

Alarm and Event Response

  • Respond promptly to system alarms and operational events, diagnosing issues and implementing resolutions to minimize downtime.
  • Document all incidents and corrective actions, updating relevant stakeholders as required.

Platform Device Management

  • Document changes and update system configurations accordingly.
  • Ensure IoT devices are integrated seamlessly with monitoring platforms and generation systems.

Reporting and Documentation

  • Prepare and submit detailed operational reports, including testing schedules, run summaries, event logs, and system changes.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of all procedures, communications, and system modifications.

Support Real Time Operations

  • Assist with overflow of real-time operations workflows and daily tasks as needed.
  • Handle gas management, reconcile operational logs, and support daily reporting activities to ensure accurate and timely documentation.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Proficient Excel skills (Macro Maintenance, pivot tables)
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Problem-solving skills and capacity to manage multiple priorities.
