Anza seeks a Marketing Manager to join our growing renewable energy technology start-up to support the company’s market share growth, app platform and brand goals. This person will support these goals by developing and implementing marketing campaigns using a combination of inbound marketing and account-based marketing strategies. The Marketing Manager’s objective is to drive conversion of net new prospects and increase wallet share from existing accounts.

This position will report to the Senior Director of Marketing. The role incorporates strategic campaign development as well as detailed hands-on implementation. It requires an excellent marketing writer and implementer who is comfortable adapting to change to learn and grow. We seek a candidate with experience implementing B2B marketing campaigns and account-based marketing, measuring results and adjusting based on learnings.

Position Responsibilities Will Include But Not Be Limited To

  • Develop and implement inbound and accounted-based strategic marketing campaigns using digital marketing, marketing and thought leadership content and sales enablement.
  • Collaborate with the heads of marketing and sales on campaign identification, prioritization and concept development.
  • Execute marketing campaigns from concept and delivery to analysis and reporting, using:
    • HubSpot - draft and execute marketing emails, forms, landing pages, workflows and lead scoring.
    • Social media - source content for posts on LinkedIn and X (previously Twitter) for thought leadership, company news and other content. Help manage agency partner for post review and feedback. Provide day-to-day account monitoring.
    • WordPress - make website edits and post blogs, news and videos.
    • Zoom webinar - set up and run Zoom webinars as needed.
    • Google Analytics - analyze traffic metrics and use SEMRush for SEO and SEM research.
    • Ads - implement ad campaigns on LinkedIn, Google and other solar and energy storage channels.
  • Create content for inbound and account-based marketing purposes.
  • Write emails, landing pages, blogs and video scripts to raise awareness about Anza, improve SEO, and create qualified leads.
  • Write emails, newsletters, blogs, collateral pieces, slide decks and video scripts to help move customers along their buyer journey to paying customers and additional repeat business.
  • Collaborate closely with the following teams:
    • Be the point person between marketing and inside sales for lead generation and management.
    • Be the point person between marketing and account managers to penetrate accounts further using account-based marketing.
    • Work with the data team to understand priorities for new campaigns.
    • Work in close collaboration with the Product Marketing Manager for positioning and messaging.
  • Create new visual designs for the website, email and collateral (ads and social media posts as needed).

Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in marketing, advertising, or communications
  • 4+ years of B2B marketing campaign experience required
  • Enterprise software industry experience preferred
  • Solar and storage industry experience helpful
  • In-depth knowledge of digital marketing and account-based marketing best practices and dedication to staying on top of trends
  • Marketing copywriting experience - ability to concisely & accurately write effective marketing content
  • Proven experience receiving writing or creative feedback well to learn and produce a better deliverable
  • Strong sense of creativity, imagination, and innovation
  • Interpersonal skills - proactive, clear, transparent communicator with the ability to work well cross-functionally
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills
  • HubSpot super user
  • Experience using WordPress
  • Experience with social media - especially LinkedIn and Twitter
  • Experience with LinkedIn and Google ads
  • Experience working with a CRM tool, preferably Salesforce, for managing leads and customer lists
  • Competency with Adobe Photoshop to create, edit, resize, and reformat images (InDesign experience a plus)
  • Analytical mind for marketing measurement and improvement
