Job Description

Soly’s mission is simple yet powerful: to make solar energy accessible for everyone. A few months ago, we launched in the UK with ambitious goals in place, and we are only just getting started.

We are now seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior HR Manager / Recruiter to lead our human resources efforts in this exciting new venture. Candidates who have worked in a fast-paced start-up or SME environment are preferred but it is not essential. As the Senior HR Manager / Recruiter, you'll be at the forefront of the renewable energy revolution and you will play a crucial role in building and nurturing a talented team that will drive our success in the UK market. You will be responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies, policies, and programs to support our growth, attract top talent, and create a positive and inclusive work environment.

Your impact

  • Oversee the entire recruitment process, ensuring a positive candidate experience from application to onboarding.
  • Formulate and implement recruitment strategies aimed at attracting and securing top-tier talent for a variety of roles.
  • Collaborate closely with hiring managers to identify staffing needs, develop job descriptions, and explore innovative approaches to target the desired candidate pool effectively.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for our UK team on various HR matters, and meticulously prepare all contractual documents, including employment contracts, references, and certificates.
  • Take charge of maintaining personnel files, keep information on our HR system (Personio) up to date, and provide support to the Country Manager for monthly payroll processes.
  • Design and implement effective onboarding programs to ensure a smooth transition for new hires.
  • Foster open communication with employees, actively contributing to the development and maintenance of our corporate culture.

Your profile

  • CIPD qualified or equivalent professional experience.
  • At least three years of professional experience in recruiting and generalist HR roles, with a preference for exposure to start-up or high-growth environments.
  • Understanding of employment law and practice, knowledge of People/HR best practices with the ability to identify creative or practical solutions to achieve best fit.
  • Ability to partner with and advise stakeholders to ensure the organisation can attract, develop, retain and reward exceptional talent, enabling high employee engagement and performance.
  • Experienced in solving complex problems, adaptable to change, and capable of swift execution. You make things happen.
  • You are ambitious and energetic with a warm personality and you love to connect with new people.
  • Strong communication skills and team oriented with experience of helping others to learn and grow.
  • Communicates fluently in English, both verbally and in writing.
