In this role, we are looking for our new Public Affairs Manager (all genders) to join NKT an lead the day-to-day responsibilities of planning, coordinating and executing our engagement with EU- and German Public Authorities and Governments to help NKT connecting a greener world.

In your role as Public Affairs Manager, you will

  • Drive, prioritize and coordinate our public affairs agenda and carry through relevant engagement
  • Develop and implement a public affairs engagement and messaging strategy for NKT in the EU
  • Develop and implement joint regulatory and public affairs initiatives with other stakeholders who are engaged in connecting a greener world
  • Influence the EU, German and Danish legislation initiatives, and plans to benefit NKT
  • Assess gaps and prioritize key opportunities for the involvement of NKT to play an even more visible and active role in shaping the EU agenda
  • Establish credible relationships with key political and administrative stakeholders as well as interest organizations
  • Maintain ongoing stakeholder mapping and prioritization of key areas, where NKT can drive and lead the change of key laws and initiatives to the benefit of NKT’s ambition to connect a greener world and electrification of society


  • You have completed a Master’s degree in a relevant discipline
  • You have experience working with public affairs in a public or private organization or business
  • You have demonstrated the ability to work both independently and collaboratively and build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders such as governments, administrations, interest organizations and political parties
  • You have strong knowledge of the green transition and energy policies in Europe
  • You thrive working in a concrete, and factual manner and are meticulous at following through and achieving results
  • You are a natural communicator both in writing and orally
  • You are fluent in English, knowledge of German and Danish is a plus but not mandatory

Please not that this position can be located at our sites in Germany, Denmark, or Brussels, and requires travel of up to 50%.
