Financial Analyst - Modelling (m/f/d)

BayWa r.e. Projects España S.L.U. – a wholly-owned subsidiary of BayWa r.e. AG – is responsible for the development, structuring and execution of utility-scale wind and solar energy projects in Spain & Portugal. Due to our dynamic growth, we are expanding our team in Spain and are currently looking for a Financial Analyst - Modelling.

What You Will Do

• Focal point on modelling of businesses within the organization M&A transactions support, reporting to management, support to project teams.
• IM model maintenance and improvement Support project Development, project Management, Sales, Finance and Management Teams on financial aspects.
• Gather market intelligence and monitor industry trends that could have an impact on project valuation.
• Analyses wind, solar and BESS projects, supporting the Project Team to secure internal approvals and support in M&A process.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Business Administration, Economics or similar
• At least 3 years of experience in financial modelling in the renewables industry or similar
• Knowledge and experience in financial structures, corporate finance and project finance are desirable. Experience with PPAs is a plus
• Knowledge on asset and company valuation methods, DCF, earnings multiplier, book value, as well as accounting are required.
• Proficient knowledge of Excel for modelling cash flow-based yield calculations and the associated evaluation of operative project companies
• Team player, eager to learn and to grow professionally.
• Native in Spanish and fully fluent in English.
