Analyst, Environmental Compliance and Strategy (Offshore Wind)
Join Invenergy LLC as an Analyst, Environmental Compliance and Strategy (Offshore Wind) in United States of America Chicago - OSW. Support offshore wind development, manage environmental compliance, and gain valuable experience.
As an Analyst on the Environmental Compliance and Strategy (ECS) team, you will support offshore wind development in the United States through a variety of administrative and technical tasks. You will work with cross-functional groups (e.g., engineering, development, legal, and project management) throughout Invenergy on a day-to-day basis. You will be a valued member of the team and gain first-hand experience with offshore wind development and related environmental laws, regulations, and policy.
Responsibilities
- Provide program coordination for the ECS Offshore Wind Team focused on records management, task tracking, organization, and communications.
- Develop bi-annual Progress Reports as part of federal lease requirements.
- Maintain Communication Plans as part of federal lease requirements.
- Manage the contracting process for ECS Offshore Wind Team’s consultant needs including service and purchase order requisitions and invoice processing.
- Provide meeting assistance including scheduling, logistics, agenda-setting, facilitation, note taking, and tracking of outcomes and next steps.
- Track and report on environmental compliance requirements for offshore wind projects (e.g., Protected Species Observer program).
- Assist with schedule and budget development and monitoring for environmental activities.
- Provide QA/QC for project-related documents.
- Research and summarize relevant environmental requirements, policies, and precedent to support strategy development.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ years in renewable energy or 4+ years managing responsibilities similar to those listed above
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Proficient in MS Office Suite
- Excellent communication skills
- Demonstrated experience in process improvement
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
- Strong workload management skills
- Desire to learn and take on increasingly complex tasks
- Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship now or in the future.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with MS Projects, Teams, SharePoint, and OneNote
- Experience with Oracle and DocuSign
- Prior experience in offshore wind
