Business Finance Partner (m/w/d)

Job Description

As our new colleague, you will work within a team of Business Finance Partners and help drive the performance of the business. In this role, you will use and develop your financial, analytical and business partnering abilities to drive financially sound business decisions.

Your focus areas are to maintain an open dialogue, provide insightful interpretation and communication of financial reporting, conduct analytical deep dives into performance, and financial support to the business.

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include

• Managing the P&L for the business unit – analysis, presentation and optimising of the P&L;
• Reporting financial insights to business unit management and finance organisation;
• Participation in financial planning and budgeting process;
• Financial analysis for projects and to support business unit management;
• Provide insight to risks related to market exposure and working capital needs, and perform counterparty risk assessments;
• Support on creating revenue transparency – reconciliation of forecasts and actuals;
• Partner with business for driving financial performance;
• Finance representative within the Business unit structure.

You are self-confident with a strong drive, a high sense of urgency and ability to prioritise between multiple tasks, stakeholders and projects. You can work both independently and in a team. You are a strong communicator, who is comfortable entering into a debate and challenging the norm.

You hold a Master in Finance/Economics, Management or equivalent education.

Additionally, we find it important that you possess the following skills and competencies

• Experienced working within the Energy and Power markets;
• Experienced as a business controller/finance business partner;
• Ideally 7+ years of experience;
• Ability to handle the pressures arising from having to meet multiple deadlines and targets;
• A structured and analytical mindset and a self-starter attitude;
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills;
• Ability to demonstrate use of our values in the daily work;
• Fluent command of written and spoken English.
