Production Support Assistant (m/w/d)

We are looking for Production Support Assistants to join our manufacturing team in Devens, MA. You will ensure that machined products are finished, cleaned, and prepared for transport. You will support the machine shop's internal customers by maintaining efficiency and cleanliness, which directly impacts the production process. You will be involved with multiple tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the shop and the delivery of high-quality products. You will work onsite at our gigafactory in Devens, MA and report to the onsite shift leader.

This is a temporary contract position.

Role and Responsibilities

• Parts Finishing: Perform finishing operations on machined parts to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications
• Clean Finished Products: Clean and inspect finished products to remove any debris, oil, or residue, ensuring they are ready for the next stage of production or delivery
• Prepare Parts for Transport: Prepare and package finished parts for transport to internal customers, ensuring they are protected and organized
• 5S Activities: Participate in 5S activities to maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace, including sorting, setting in order, shining, standardizing, and sustaining
• Support Basic Machine Shop Material Handling: Support machine shop operations by assisting with the movement and handling of materials, tools, and equipment

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience handling support requests from a variety of different channels
• Physical ability to lift and move materials
• Familiarity with 5S principles

Working Conditions

• This role is based in an air-conditioned building with all new and modern equipment

• Personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided and must be worn

Compensation and Benefits

Natick Zone

$18—$20 USD

Actual base salary offered to the hired applicant will be determined based on their work location, level, qualifications, job-related skills, as well as relevant education or training and experience.​
