Job Description
Sunnova Energy is searching for a Marketing Manager – Demand Generation to drive multi-channel marketing campaigns and improve efficiencies of the lead program to increase new acquisition, as well as up-sell and cross-sell the lead database.
The Marketing Manager will design, build, and execute campaigns and strategies to acquire, nurture, and convert leads for solar and our other energy services using email, SMS/text messaging, social, display ads, and more. This role will support cross-functional efforts across the Brand, Product, Direct Sales, Marketing, Web, Legal and Operational teams to ensure all critical deliverables including, but not limited to, campaign requirements, timelines, and creative assets are coordinated, developed, and executed on strategy and on time. Currently, this role will not have direct reports, but will be managing the process within the Sunnova Marketing team.
Marketing Manager – Demand Generation Responsibilities
- Build, manage and execute campaigns (manual, scheduled, triggered, and automated) that are aligned with business priorities, calendars, timelines, and internal stakeholders.
- Use lead, campaign, and performance data to drive optimizations with audience targeting, messaging, personalization, incentives and more.
- Develop impactful automated nurture programs (drip campaigns, lead journeys, multi-channel interactions) to improve conversion rates from leads to sales.
- Design and execute A/B tests, analyze performance, and recommend improvements to drive performance lift. Testing includes subject lines, message content, CTAs, lead audiences & segments, and new features.
- Leverage marketing channels including email, social, web, SMS/text messaging, app notifications, and direct mail
- Track and qualify leads continuously to determine appropriate messaging, channel, and frequency.
- Monitor and report performance of lead generation and nurture activity with granular tracking across relevant KPIs, including but not limited to impressions, clicks, web visitors, video views, lead form completion, conversion to sales, and revenue.
- Create efficient lead management process and handoff from marketing to sales
- Develop and manage lead generation 3rd-party partnerships
Minimum Requirements
- Education required: B.S. Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or another related field
- Minimum years of experience required: 7 or more years in marketing, with previous experience developing a successful lead generation and nurturing program
- Hands-on experience with building, managing & deploying campaigns from Campaign Management & Automation Platforms such as Marketing Cloud, Pardot, and Marketo
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced skills in digital marketing, email marketing, and direct mail
- Success working with a dealer channel
- Previous experience in a subscription-services business
- Knowledge of HTML/CSS, URL structure & parameters, and Content Management Systems (CMS).
Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Experience with data analysis from Salesforce, Google and Bing Ads, Marketing Cloud (email metrics), Facebook, Google Analytics, Google Data Studio, and similar marketing technology platforms
- Expertise in running and optimizing multi-channel marketing campaigns
- Comfortable with data analyses including database segmentation and web analytics
- Strong business acumen and results-oriented
- Strong project management skills and attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Comfortable working cross-functionally
