We’re spearheading the transition through the installation of in-home technologies; from smart meters and EV chargers to low carbon heating. Our smart energy and low carbon heating solutions mean our customers can enjoy clean, green and cosy homes.

We’re head-over-heels for Solar Panels – which provide an ultra-efficient and reliable way to harness the power of the sun and store this in highly efficient batteries for when your home needs it most. You’ll get to know and learn to love them as much as we do at our £10m training and R&D centre, before hitting the ground running and educating our customers on these magical systems.

We’re looking for people who are early on in their sales career, passionate about the mission Octopus us in and want to grow their career with us.

What you'll do

  • In solar sales, you’ll be responsible for designing the solar systems for your sales pipeline and selling this to your customer. All of our leads come through our website, so they’re just as passionate about green energy as we are.
  • Develop and establish your sales pipeline with customers - from lead through to delivery and accomplish sales & orders in line with our KPIs
  • Explain the benefits or solar systems and Octopus Energy as a provider
  • Provide excellent customer service through the sales process and record customer feedback in the CRM
  • Become an expert in solar design with a real ownership in the process you’re taking our customers on
  • Collaborate with the technical design teams to develop solar designs and make sure their unique design if perfect for them
  • Be a real advocate for the technology that we are excited to launch across the UK and beyond!

What you'll need

  • A love of the buzz you get when exceeding targets and being rewarded with regular incentives and great commission structures
  • A solution focused approach and positive outlook, especially when overcoming objections
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage your own time and workload effectively
  • Exceptional communication, ensuring customers feel good about each and every conversation and are motivated to invest in a solar system
  • A love of dynamic and active office environments, being able to adjust to change and keep up with a fast moving business
  • Either previous sales experience within a consultative environment or in customer service
  • A desire to work within sales and grow your career is a must - we are excited about the future and want you to be too!
  • Proven track record of excellent customer experience with excellent listening skills and confidence when dealing with customers over the phone in a B2C capacity
  • It would be beneficial for you to have experience in Solar Panels but its not essential; we have a great learning and development team ready to upskill you
