Overview

This position will support our Project Development Siting team, helping to lead our Southeast market. This will require coordination with the Business Development and Project Development teams to help grow our number of assets in pre development, and support the pipeline of project sites. This position will support the overall siting team.

Please note this work may require some periods of travel, generally 4-8 days per month.

Main Responsibilities

• Identify high quality project sites, and efficiently negotiate land purchase options to support our demand in target markets.
• Execute on the project development siting goals, managing a greenfielding portfolio, and growing a team to expand the project development pipeline.
• Establish strong relationships within the community as initial contacts, and prove an integral part of Silicon Ranch’s business model as long term owner and community members.
• Track Business Development activity in target markets, and support in developing a strategy for prioritizing the changing needs on a regular basis.
• Coordinate with Community Engagement and Economic Development team to form initial community entry strategy, and maintain throughout project.
• Facilitate handoff of siting assets to other team members.
• Communicates and negotiates effectively and responsibly with landowners and partners.
• Responsible for reviewing and maintaining project records.
• Works as a team player with effective written and oral communication skills.
• Represent the organization professionally with landowners, vendors, utilities, local officials, and other project stakeholders.

Education

Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Energy/Land Management or equivalent; additional educational qualifications such as a PMP or MBA considered.

Experience

2-4 years of work experience in Project Development, Land Development or Real Estate. GIS Mapping Experience preferred. Exposure or experience to the US energy and/or renewable market desirable.
