Senior Commissioning Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Commissioning Manager to lead onshore and offshore commissioning activities. You will manage interfaces, define deliverables, and collaborate with package managers. Your role includes implementing commissioning procedures with a focus on electrical safety, ensuring the offshore wind farm meets project specifications, and coordinating with stakeholders on safety, testing, and commissioning. You will contribute to green and secure energy ecosystem creation by:

• Ensuring the offshore wind farm project is commissioned to the highest standards, within the timeline, and according to project specifications;
• Participating in the preparation and approval of commissioning procedures, tender documents, and contracts to ensure compliance with commissioning requirements;
• Providing technical support to ensure all electrical installations and operations meet regulatory and safety standards, considering national legislative requirements;
• Preparing, communicating, and implementing a comprehensive commissioning management manual and program, coordinating activities across HSE, QA/QC, project teams, contractors, and other stakeholders.

Required for this position

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering or other relevant field;
• Offshore wind farm projects and an in-depth understanding of the systems deployed;
• 5 years previous experience in a leading engineering position within offshore wind.

Would be an advantage

• Experience in commissioning, construction, or design of substations and transmission lines within the renewables business is essential;
• Development of safety rules and supporting procedures;
• Operational authorisation processes and training requirements, with the ability to assess suitability of staff for various levels of safety authorisation;
• Grid code, OFTO, transmissions and distribution.
