Job Description

The opportunity exists for an experienced engineer to join AFRY’s Energy Division within the expanding Renewable and Thermal Energy team in the UK. You will provide clients with help and support at all project stages, including: technical and economic feasibility studies, technology assessments, technical due diligence reviews, Lenders’ Engineer services, front end engineering design (FEED) studies, owner’s engineer services, engineering-procurement-construction-management (EPCM) services, operation and maintenance support and optimisation and expert witness services.

To support this you will develop commercially and then lead project execution in renewable and thermal energies (waste to energy, biomass, solar PV, wind, energy storage, gas, liquid fuel, CCS, district heating and green hydrogen).

As well as identify business development on the broader market and sales opportunities in your projects, leading proposal efforts, including project scoping and managing client interactions beyond the mere submission of a written offer.

This means you will also be a good communicator and can reduce complex issues to understandable arguments and presentations for top management. We pay utmost attention to structured and articulate writing and presentation skills; therefore, you are fluent orally and in writing business English.

We are looking for people who have worked with tight deadlines, and have no objections to travel, as it forms an essential part of the role. With professional experience working with the power sector gained with an EPC Contractor or Developer or Consulting Company desirable.
