Job Description
In this important and dynamic role, you will lead activities defining the service requirements, specifications, technical negotiations, and test procedures for the procurement of the inverter or power conversion system (PCS) for battery energy storage solutions (BESS). You will be a critical member of a global multicultural team, focused on development, go-to-market, tendering, and execution of service BESS products. You will be responsible in collaboration with your colleagues for the development and implementation of market-leading service energy storage solutions for our global customers. How You’ll Make an Impact
- Further develop and execute our Service Portfolio including LTSA (long term service agreement) offerings for our integration BESS platform bringing these service offerings to market
- Lead the development and definition of service requirements, specifications, technical negotiations, and test procedures for the procurement of the inverter or PCS.
- Drive the spare parts concept from PCS (inverter, up to PCS MV Switchgear).
- Lead industry research identifying and comparing different technologies, characteristics, and attributes
- Support performance guarantee concepts around the service operation and reliability of the systems considering both supplier and customer perspectives
- Plan and execute technical customer clarifications regarding the inverter or PCS regarding bidding, performance, and field service
- Support the project management in risk and claim management and ensuring quality and work safety on the construction site including non-conformance reporting (NCR)
- Participate in internal improvement programs (including Lean, Reviews and Lessons Learned)
- Support the development of technical offerings, application engineering, risk and mitigation strategies for customer projects
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems or a similar technical field & at least 5 years of experience with power conversion systems (PCS) or inverters for battery storage applications
- Experience in sourcing of inverters / PCS including leading the technical sourcing process and supplier development as well as experience in working with or for inverter manufacturers for the battery or solar industry including hardware, controls, and software.
- Knowledge of pricing models and industry trends, industry regulations, and best practices as well as understanding of service offerings e.g. capacity guarantees, reliability and availability
- Very good understanding of stationary battery storage systems, technologies, and components including batteries, transformers, controls, monitoring, digitalization or power conversion systems
- Strong written, verbal and presentation skills in English with German a plus
- Motivated and ability to self-organize and prioritize complex tasks in a multicultural and global environment, willingness to travel of approx. 25 %
