Managing Director Energy

Job Description

As the Managing Director Energy, you will oversee our Front Office department, including directors and their teams. You will be responsible for ensuring that our strategic objectives are met by developing business policies, managing budgets, and leading a growing team. You know how to inspire and motivate people to achieve shared business goals. Your primary focus will be on increasing revenue by expanding our product and service offerings and optimizing our workforce.

About the role

In the role of Managing Director, you will focus on the following tasks and responsibilities:

• Lead AFS Energy into the next phase, from start up to scale up
• Strategic vision
• Develop and set strategic policies to drive revenue growth, ensuring alignment with overall company goals, and delegating tasks effectively to ensure successful implementation across all teams
• Oversee daily operations to maximize efficiency and profitability
• Manage the finance, monitor performance
• Fostering the company culture, company values
• Explore expansion opportunities within the environmental market, including acquisitions but also expanding our product and service portfolio
• Supervise, fostering an inspiring and results-driven work environment
• Stakeholder management
• Be in control of Risk management and compliance issues
• Represent AFS Energy

Job requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business administration, Economics or related fields
• 8+ years senior management experience with proven success
• Strong leadership skills, experience in managing managers and teams with responsibility for at least 40 FTEs
• Ability to lead diverse teams also through challenging periods
• Strong understanding of financials and performance indicators
• Strong understanding of risk management
• Familiarity with compliance and legal aspects relevant to trading and brokerage interpersonal skills, teamwork skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to prioritize multiple assignments
• Problem-solver
