Sales Manager, Power Electronics (m/w/d)
Drive sales as a Sales Manager for Power Electronics at Canadian Solar in Cape Town, focusing on energy storage solutions.
Job Description
We are currently seeking a Sales Manager Power Electronics, who will be part of our newly established sales team dedicated to Energy Storage solutions in the EMEA region. In this role, you will be driving sales in South Africa.
Key Responsibilities May Include
- Responsible for the continued development of the solar inverter and residential storage pipeline in South Africa to achieve individual and company sales goals
- Analysis and acquisition of new customers in the Power Electronics segment and further development of existing accounts in the B2B business set up
- Building sustainable customer relationships through regular on-site visits
- Regular presence at trade fairs and customer-related events
- Good knowledge of own and competitor Power Electronics product portfolios
- Negotiating all contractual conditions; preparations of quotes
- Strong collaboration with the Power Electronics Business Development Team and the Technical Service Team
- Market monitoring, ability to make reliable forecasts
- Interface to order processing regarding supply, delivery, and payments

- Strong organization, negotiation and communication skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret sales performance and market trend information
- Reliability and ability to work under pressure, high flexibility and willingness/ability to travel
- Results driven approach with high commitment and flexibility
- Excellent team skills and intercultural skills
Languages
- Business level in English, any other language will be an advantage
Location
- Cape Town, South Africa
Your Backpack is Filled With
- Engineering studies preferred, alternatively business administration
- WELL CONNECTED in the field of solar business with at least 5 years working experience
- Good technical skills as well in Power Electronics (Inverters and of energy storage solutions)
- Familiar with the pursuing interests of the players in the different solar sectors
- High proficiency of MS Office applications and Sales Force.com
- Willingness to travell (approx. 50%)
