Job Description

As (Senior) Analyst, you will play an active role in all aspects of client engagement: helping identify issues, forming hypotheses, conducting analysis, and synthesizing conclusions into recommendations. This allows you to develop your quantitative skill set and become a power market expert.

Key Responsibilities

As (Senior) Analyst in the Berlin Office, you will be responsible for:

• Applying Auroras proprietary power market model to perform quantitative analysis on the German and European power market and afterwards deriving insights from the model results
• Engage with clients to understand their requirements and communicate the findings of your analysis in a concise manner
• Develop quantitative analyses to enhance clients’ decision-making by working closely with our modelling team, structuring economic problems into quantifiable analyses
• Contributing to Aurora’s product and business development, by identifying and addressing new project opportunities and expanding our capabilities

What we are looking for

Required attributes:

• A university degree in either:
  • a quantitative subject, coupled with a keen interest in economic developments
  • a social science, environmental studies or a related field, coupled with an interest in quantitative analysis
• You have a strong interest in energy markets and want to expand your existing (basic) knowledge in energy markets to make real and tangible impacts that influence the complex decisions our clients need to make
• You enjoy analysing and interpreting quantitative data in a team-oriented environment where clear and concise communication is highly valued
• You enjoy coordinating projects with a focus on quantitative analysis and have gathered project management experience during university and internships
• You speak English fluently (C1+) and advanced German (B2+)
