Energy Support Services, is on the lookout for a motivated and detail-oriented Asset Management Associate / Senior Associate to join our dynamic team! In this exciting role, you’ll dive into asset management and financial functions related to our renewable energy projects and investments. We’re looking for someone with experience in an asset management analytical role, preferably in solar or real estate, and a solid foundation in accounting principles. Key Responsibilities
Asset Management
- Drive financial and operational performance of Assets under management.
- Assist in the tracking and management of solar energy assets, including acquisitions, disposals, and transfers.
- Operate as Owner’s representative in navigating contractual and business matters.
- Assist in billing and collections for assets owned internally and by third party owners.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and compliance documentation, ensuring adherence to regulations related to renewable energy incentives and credits.
- Maintain detailed asset records and ensure accurate data entry into the asset management system for solar projects.
- Support periodic asset inventories and reconciliations for solar energy installations.
- Assist in the preparation of asset management reports and analyses, focusing on the performance and valuation of solar assets.
- Collaborate with the asset management team to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, and regulatory requirements related to renewable energy projects.
- Provide support for asset-related projects and initiatives, including the development and implementation of new solar projects.
- Perform additional tasks as needed in conjunction with the department’s growth.
Accounting
- Manage the preparation of financial statements and reports, focusing on solar energy projects and investments.
- Assist in processing accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, ensuring accurate tracking of solar project expenses and revenues, and compiling Aging Receivable reports to meet contractual obligations
- Support the preparation of budgets and forecasts for solar projects and company-wide financial planning.
- Conduct variance analyses and report findings to management, with a focus on renewable energy projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related field.
- Prior history as an asset management analyst.
- Experience with basic accounting principles.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Prior internship or work experience in accounting or finance is a plus; experience in the renewable energy sector is highly desirable.
- Passion for renewable energy and sustainability.
