Role Summary
We are looking for two COOP students starting in January 2025. Preferably one with a mechanical engineering background, and one with a process engineering background.
You will support the build assembly and testing of prototype scale processing plants as part of our dedicated team supporting our Pulsed Methane Pyrolysis (PMP) process development and validation.
Primary Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including field deployment, product development, R&D, and business development for engineering deliverables.
- Assist in the creation and review of key engineering documents, including HMBs, PFDs, P&IDs, and equipment datasheets.
- Provide support in process selection and modelling studies.
- Perform engineering calculations for sizing equipment, valves, pipes, and other system components.
- Organize and maintain detailed records of engineering calculations and documentation.
- Write design and progress reports.
- Other relevant duties as required.
You Bring
- In your third or fourth year of your bachelor’s degree in mechanical, process/chemical engineering, or similar.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Strong communication abilities: both written and verbal with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent attitude. Eager and willing to learn.
- Flexibility to work in an environment where you may need to wear multiple hats.
- Proficiency in all office communication formats including MS office products.
