We are looking for you to join our tech team in Berlin, Munich, or Hamburg. 1KOMMA5° is creating Germany's largest one-stop-shop for the sale, installation, and servicing of solar panels, heat pumps, electricity solutions, and charging infrastructure. And the best part? They are all interconnected! One of our key tech products, our energy manager "Heartbeat," is central to our mission. It enhances the user experience through our app and ensures the cheapest and cleanest energy for our customers. Additionally, it serves as a core component of our vision to build a virtual power plant.

Your mission

As an Associate Product Manager in a cross-functional team consisting of developers, an energy market expert, and a product manager, you will play a key role in building innovative energy products. These products help our customers use more sustainable energy while aiming to reduce energy costs to zero. The team you’re joining is responsible for managing our flagship product, Dynamic Pulse, across four countries, and for developing new, exciting energy solutions for our customers.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Scoping of your own initiatives: Product management is never done. You will work on your own initiatives to improve the setup and the offering of our energy products.
  • Operations support: We are running a virtual power plant and must ensure a smooth operation. You will take over responsibility for certain parts of the operation activities and ensure a smooth operation.
  • Other product management activities: You will support in the diverse set of responsibilities the product manager has: Preparation and aftercare of workshops and routines, interviewing stakeholders, creating product requirement documents for new products, organizing team events etc.
  • You will be an equal part of the team and be treated as such.

Your profile

You have:

  • You are currently enrolled at a university and are available to work 20 hours per week.
  • You are pursuing a relevant degree program (e.g., Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science).
  • You have a solution-oriented mindset, capable of thinking critically and addressing challenges.
  • You take initiative and proactively contribute ideas on what to do next.
  • You demonstrate a strong drive to take responsibility and ownership of tasks.
  • You possess intrinsic motivation to help build exceptional products that delight users.
  • You have strong communication and organizational skills, essential for collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • You have a history of going the extra mile to deliver outstanding results.
  • You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are comfortable with quick decision-making.
  • You have very good spoken and written English skills (knowledge of German is a plus)

Bonus points for:

  • Familiarity with the energy industry, particularly the energy market.
  • Experience or knowledge in product management or software development.
  • Currently pursuing a Master’s degree.
