Your Impact at Ascend Analytics
As the Director of Community Solar, you will play a pivotal role in expanding Ascend's presence in the rapidly growing community solar market. Your leadership will drive the development of innovative community solar offerings, leveraging Ascend’s advanced analytics and forecasting capabilities to provide market-leading price forecasts and market intelligence. You will work closely with our cross-functional teams to align our product strategy with market needs, while also engaging with external stakeholders including utilities, energy developers, and regulatory bodies.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead the development and expansion of Ascend’s community solar product line, from conception to execution.
- Provide market intelligence and pricing forecasts that help clients optimize community solar investments.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including product development, analytics, and sales, to integrate community solar insights into broader offerings.
- Monitor and analyze industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive dynamics within the community solar market.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on community solar, providing guidance and insights both internally and to external clients.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the community solar space, including utilities, developers, financiers, and policymakers.
- Drive business growth by identifying new market opportunities and working with the sales team to expand our client base.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in the energy or power industry, with at least 2 years focused specifically on community solar.
- Demonstrated expertise in energy markets, particularly related to community solar project development, pricing strategies, and regulatory environments.
- Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to manage complex projects and guide cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical insights to a non-technical audience and represent the company at industry events.
- Proven ability to develop innovative solutions and strategies in a fast-moving industry.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with energy forecasting models and analytics tools.
- Experience working with electric utilities, independent power producers, or other energy stakeholders.
- Advanced degree in a relevant field (e.g., energy management, environmental science, or business administration).
- Experience navigating regulatory processes and policies relevant to community solar programs.
Compensation: $150,000 - $180,000
Negotiable based on qualifications and experience. Ascend highly values our employees and often pays above industry average.
