Job Description
GridX is looking for an experienced IT Systems Administrator to be part of our growing team. As System Administrator you will play an important role in helping to maintain and manage our corporate technology infrastructure.
Resourcefulness is a necessary skill in this role. You should be able to diagnose and resolve problems quickly. You should also have the patience to communicate with a variety of interdisciplinary teams and users. Your goal will be to ensure that our technology infrastructure runs smoothly and efficiently. You must have solid communication skills, be detail oriented, and show leadership and an exemplary work ethic.
Role & Responsibilities
IT Troubleshooting and Support
- Take ownership of IT onboarding for new employees and offboarding exiting employees, including but not limited to laptop setup/destruction, managing software accounts, and ensuring employees have the correct access levels.
- Train company employees on security protocols and help them set up their computers, e-mail, encryption, firewalls, and other associated tech in compliance with company policies.
- Respond to and resolve internal IT support requests, providing timely and effective technical assistance.
- Administer user accounts, permissions, and access rights across various platforms and applications.
Infrastructure
- Manage and support the corporate Google Workspace including mail, calendar, and drive.
- Implement and maintain security measures to safeguard the organization's IT assets and data from unauthorized access and potential threats.
- Evaluate and recommend IT solutions, tools, and technologies to improve system efficiency and user experience.
- Maintain an internal wiki with technical documentation, manuals and IT policies.
- Document system configurations, processes, and procedures to ensure clear and organized information for reference and training; maintain assets lists.
- Collaborate with GridX staff to identify needs gaps, perform research for solutions and make recommendations. Assist with implementation of solution as directed.
- Help develop and support company-wide document storage and retention practices.
- Consult with the DevOps team to ensure best practices for cloud-based, product infrastructure.
SOC/Security
- Project manage the SOC process from end to end by assigning issues to appropriate owners, ensuring policies are up to date, and being the point of contact for the SOC auditors, both internal and external, while the annual audit is being conducted
- Conduct quarterly security reviews to support the SOC process
- Ensure security updates are current across all systems
- Ensure security tools are running properly on company networks and devices
- Research emerging threats and the safeguards that can provide protection
- Present findings, reports and solutions to upper management
- Implement and maintain security protocols for everything from cell phones to tablets to laptops
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of proven experience as a System Administrator, IT Systems Administrator, Network Administrator or similar role using cloud-based solutions
- Experience supporting PC and MAC computers
- Knowledge of system security (i.e. intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery
- Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to provide effective technical support to end-users of all skill and experience levels
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail
- Google workspace administration experience strongly preferred
- Experience supporting SOC audits preferred
- BS/BA in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline and/or professional certification (i.e. Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA)) is a plus
- Google Workspace Certification strongly preferred
- Experience with automation is a plus
Your Location
Because much of the team is based in Denver, CO, it is preferred that the selected candidate be located in the Denver area. The role will include occasional work at a GridX Industrious shared office or attendance at off-sites and/or customer sites, as determined by your role’s responsibilities and agreed to with your manager.

Compensation
Compensation is determined by several factors which may include skillset, experience level, and geographic location. The expected base salary range for this role is $80,000 to $100,000 per year. Please note this range is an estimate and actual pay may vary based on qualifications and experience.
