Job Description

Sunnova Energy is looking for an experienced and energetic digital marketing leader to continue the growth of our lead generation efforts, and expand our digital media performance capabilities, enhance the digital customer journey, and drive leads, appointments and sales for solar and related energy services. The Digital Performance Marketing Manager will work across multiple media platforms and performance-based partners to implement, manage, measure, and optimize campaigns and initiatives that drive awareness, consideration, conversions, and sales for Sunnova, our dealer network and retail partners.

Reporting to the Director, Web and Digital Marketing, the candidate will be experienced in search engine marketing (SEM) and Pay-per-Click (PPC) (e.g., paid social, programmatic display, native and video) channels, affiliates, 3rd party media networks and will ensure we deliver profitable ROI through efficient cost per lead, appointment and sales. This candidate will leverage customer and intent data to optimize campaign performance, refine audience targeting, and deliver the ideal experience for prospects, leads, and existing customers. It will also lead or support several high-profile initiatives with Sunnova Marketing and other cross-functional teams. The candidate will manage relationships with media agencies and vendors to drive campaigns supporting media, partnerships and related media programs.

Digital Performance Marketing Manager Responsibilities

  • Manages, reviews, and performs daily responsibilities associated with performance based digital media and internal platforms including landing pages, webform technologies lead capturing partners such as LeadConduit, and Salesforce.
  • Generates weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance reporting, and tracks volume and revenue progress to goals.
  • Creates, monitors and administers platform dashboards, reports, and tools such as Google Analytics, LeadConduit, and specific media platforms used by partners.
  • Manages data and insights to design and optimize multi-channel campaigns to drive new customer acquisition and upsell/cross-sell of the existing base.
  • Works with internal teams to drive creative development and landing page creation, and ensures all assets are legally approved prior to campaign launch.
  • Manages a breadth of relationships with third-party vendors, coordination with internal teams, and day-to-day communication
  • Leads digital and non-digital media campaign execution with media partners as required.
  • Creates data-driven and insightful presentations and ad-hoc reporting as needed.
  • Maintains and shares project status updates in weekly team meetings.
  • Creates strategic POVs and implements new channels, tactics, and partnerships to drive lead growth

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s in marketing, business, or communications.
  • Minimum years of experience required: 10-15 years’ total experience ,7+ years of relevant work experience implementing and managing paid media campaigns.
  • Must have experience with LeadConduit.
  • Experience with performance marketing across self-serve paid digital, social, and programmatic channels.
  • Documented performance achieving growth targets consistently.
  • Expertise in data management and analytics to drive storytelling, including database segmentation and web analytics.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Understanding of advertising platforms and support technology including Google, Meta, Active Prospects, Salesforce and related 3rd Party tools.
  • Excellent emotional intelligence (EQ), communication and presentation skills.
  • Legally authorized to work in the US for ANY employer.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working for a digital media, 3rd Party partner networks, and/or affiliates with a focus on launching and scaling lead generation programs.
  • Experience managing execution for media campaigns across other formats including Connected TV/OTT, Out of Home, and Radio.
  • Relevant industry certifications focused on media or data analytics.
  • Experience in the energy market, preferably with a publicly listed company.

Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of utilizing pixels, UTMs, conversion tracking and setting up Google Analytics goals.
  • Experience with digital marketing tools including Google Tag Manager, SEM Rush, Salesforce and more.
  • Strong ability to adjust to changing demands and shifting priorities.
  • Attention to detail and ability to effectively multi-task in a fast-paced, dynamic-driven, and entrepreneurial atmosphere.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written with a strong ability to tailor information to different audiences.
  • Expertise structuring and leading meetings effectively.
  • Skilled in creative thinking, problem identification and resolution, and ability to scale acquisition channels.
  • Ability to clearly and succinctly articulate insights, learnings & actions plans.
  • Passion for growing and building innovative programs and campaigns, complemented by willingness to get his/her hands dirty and be actively involved in implementation & execution.
  • Ability to build trust, develop strong relationships, and lead through influence, execution & delivery.
  • Expertise in managing and optimizing multi-channel marketing campaigns.
  • Strong empathy for customers and passion for revenue and growth.
  • Strong business acumen and results oriented.
  • Strong project management skills and attention to detail.
