Job Description
Mission:
Responsible for occupational safety management, providing support to the organization in the implementation of controls and accident prevention strategies for both own staff and contractors. Implement the Occupational Safety and Health management system in accordance with local and internal regulations and corporate guidelines, supervising the safety team and distributing their presence in the field according to risk levels and the needs of the organization. Promote a culture of safety and prevention through permanent initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Execute local and corporate strategies for the prevention of accidents among our own personnel and contractors.
- Manage the implementation of effective controls for accident prevention, derived from risk assessments, legal regulations and corporate guidelines.
- Implement an Occupational Health and Safety Management System in accordance with current regulations and continuous improvement needs.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations and internal and corporate requirements in the field.
- Oversee compliance with annual safety and training plans and programs.
- Lead the team of field supervisors, organizing them according to business needs and risk levels.
- Manage the Safety Development Program for contractors, including prevention at all stages of the service or contract.
- Manage accidents and incidents, ensuring identification of causes and implementation of action plans.
- Ensure the management of accident statistics on digital platforms.
- Advise on accident investigations and participate in investigation committees.
- Implement lessons learned from major accidents, both local and international.
Qualifications
- University degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical-Electrical Engineering, Safety and Industrial Hygiene Engineering, Industrial Engineering or other related careers.
- 10 years of experience in occupational safety, of which at least 5 years in the energy sector, managing geographically dispersed sites.
- Experience in the development and implementation of Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems, as well as in the implementation of solutions to mitigate and/or eliminate risks.
- Experience in the implementation of management tools and controls oriented to the needs of the Operations and Maintenance areas.
- Experience in managing contractors and establishing strategies for their supervision.
- Knowledge of legal regulations applicable to the energy sector in Peru, specifically in matters of Occupational Health, Safety, and Hygiene.
- Extensive experience in accident investigation.
- Advanced Office skills.
- Advanced Spanish and intermediate-advanced English (oral and written).
- Willingness to travel to high altitude locations.
