While we have employees across the country, we are looking to fill this particular role with someone based near our headquarters in Seattle who can commit to a hybrid schedule for more face-to-face interactions with team members.

The Job

We are looking for an experienced Engineering leader to drive our software engineering efforts across multiple teams, in a rapidly growing technology-backed company. Reporting to the SVP of Engineering, you will be instrumental in providing strategic direction and technical oversight, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. Your mission is to deliver high-impact, scalable software solutions that drive business value and enhance customer experience. Balancing immediate priorities with a long-term vision, you’ll ensure our technology strategy aligns with business goals and keeps us at the forefront of the industry.

What You’ll Do

  • Leadership: Set clear priorities and strategic direction to build a high-performing, accountable team. Foster collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. Mentor leaders to promote growth, accountability, and impactful results.
  • Business-Driven Solutions: Leverage deep understanding of the business and customers to drive effective technology strategies.
  • Prioritize and Execute: Lead the team to deliver high-quality solutions aligned with strategic goals, balancing speed with sustainability to minimize technical debt.
  • Innovation and Optimization: Promote best practices and continuous improvement to enhance performance, efficiency, and scalability.
  • Communication: Ensure clear, transparent communication within the team and across the company, maintaining transparency and aligning everyone on goals, priorities, and progress. Articulate the "what" and "why" behind initiatives, ensuring everyone understands goals, priorities, and progress.
  • Process Improvement: Optimize development processes, tools, and methodologies to improve efficiency, quality, and agility.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with product management, UX/UI design, and other stakeholders to define requirements, prioritize initiatives, and deliver high-quality products.
  • Technical Oversight: Oversee the design, development, and implementation of scalable software solutions, ensuring adherence to best practices and architectural standards.
  • Technology Strategy: Define and execute the technology roadmap, incorporating emerging technologies and industry trends to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate technical and operational risks, ensuring robust and reliable software solutions.

$180,000 - $235,000 a year

Midpoint: $207,500
