Freedom Solar is looking for a Warehouse Associate who will handle inbound and outbound shipments, job kitting, loading modules, and routine housekeeping.
Job Duties
- Assist Crews and electricians with material requests
- Assists service department with material requests and locating Returned Merch Authorization (RMA).
- Assist Warehouse Manager with Fleet Maintenance
- Operates various equipment and machines including forklift, pallet jack, and vehicles.
- Hotshot material and Pick up will-calls
- Refill all itemized bags
- Run recycle and pallet drop-offs
- Keep parts cage neat and organized at all times
- Reduce material waste
- Ability to do data entry
- Completes any general office and warehouse cleaning
- Performing additional tasks as assigned
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of prior warehouse or manufacturing experience, required
- Valid Driver’s License, required
- Prior forklift experience, preferred
- Solar warehouse experience, preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Attributes
- Knowledge of basic warehouse safety regulations and procedures
- Knowledge of warehouse, logistics, and supply chain management
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Solar and electrical product knowledge a plus
- General computer skills to include Microsoft and Google office, with basic data entry and excel skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
- Excellent customer service skills required
- Possess a trustworthy positive attitude and strong problem-solving skills
- Result-driven and self-motivated
- Must have a flexible schedule
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 50-75+ lbs routinely
- Ability to bend, stretch, squat, and lift
- Ability to work in 30-100+ degree weather, as well as in wet and dry conditions
- Prolonged periods of standing
