You will lead the Tax Equity and Transferability Desk, driving transaction volume through lead generation from STX’s renewable energy origination desks, corporate advisory teams, and your existing professional network in the tax equity and transferability space. You will be responsible for structuring and leading negotiations, closing transactions, and collaborating with our structured finance team to bring financing innovation to the tax equity and transferable tax credit market. This role will sit in our New York office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive volume in tax equity and transferable tax credit transactions
  • Build out STX position in being a trusted sell-side adviser for renewable energy developers
  • Structure (hybrid) tax equity funds and other financing opportunities
  • Lead building out STX’s tax equity investor network
  • Optimize tax equity and tax credit procurement structures for clients

Key Requirements

  • 8+ years of client-facing tax equity experience, preferably in a transaction-leading role in an investment bank or a dedicated blue-chip advisory service
  • Strong network among buyers of tax equity instruments
  • Extensive experience in structuring tax equity transactions
  • Experience in building durable partnerships.
  • Strong strategic and commercial mindset to drive both longer-term vision and shorter-term opportunities
  • The position is based in our New York office and this is an in-office role

Compensation and Benefits

STX intends to offer the selected candidate a competitive base salary within the range of $175,000-$275,000, based on several objective factors such as relevant experience, holistic skillset, and applicable licenses and certifications. The candidate may also be eligible for discretionary compensation as determined annually within the company fiscal year. In addition to a competitive salary, STX is committed to the well-being of our employees and offers extensive benefits including:
