What you will do

• Develop and oversee weather forecasting models for energy market and power generation predictions
• Collaborate with trading teams, providing accurate and timely weather forecasts to enhance trading strategies
• Analyze historical weather data and market trends, improving trading decisions and risk management
• Monitor and interpret meteorological data from various sources, anticipating extreme weather events and their impacts
• Effectively communicate meteorological insights to diverse stakeholders within the organization

What you bring & who you are

• Strong analytical skills, capable of translating complex meteorological data into actionable insights
• Excellent communication skills for conveying technical information to a diverse audience
• Proven experience in energy meteorology, weather forecasting, and its application in energy commodity trading or power production
• Advanced degree in Meteorology, Atmospheric Science, or a related field
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python for data analysis and model development, knowledge of GitHub, repository management, and Azure workspace for data retrieval and process automation
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written
