This is a full-time on-site Solar Sales Engineer role based in Bengaluru. The Sales Engineer will be responsible for generating sales and customers.

Overview

As a Solar Sales Engineer, you will be a key part of our sales team, responsible for promoting and selling our solar energy products and solutions to clients. You will work closely with customers to understand their energy needs, provide technical guidance, and design solar systems tailored to their requirements. Your technical expertise and sales skills will drive the growth of our solar business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Consultation: Engage with potential clients to understand their energy needs and recommend appropriate solar solutions.
  • System Design: Create customized solar system designs and proposals, ensuring they meet client specifications and local regulations.
  • Technical Expertise: Provide technical support and advice to clients, addressing their questions and concerns related to solar energy systems.
  • Sales Presentations: Deliver compelling sales presentations and demonstrations, showcasing the benefits of our solar products and services.
  • Quoting and Pricing: Prepare accurate and competitive price quotes, addressing client requirements while maintaining profitability.
  • Lead Generation: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including networking and attending industry events.
  • Relationship Building: Foster strong relationships with clients, builders, architects, and other stakeholders in the solar energy industry.
  • Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor offerings to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Sales Reporting: Maintain detailed records of sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline progress.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably in Electrical, Mechanical, or Renewable Energy.
  • Proven experience in technical sales, particularly in solar energy systems.
  • Strong understanding of solar technology, energy systems, and installation practices.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical clients effectively.
  • Proficiency in using design and simulation software for solar systems is a plus.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable working in a target-driven environment.
  • Willingness to stay current on industry advancements and market dynamics.
