Green Building Renewables is a network of local experts with over 20 years’ experience of installing low-carbon and renewable technologies. GBR installs a range of products including air and ground source heat pumps, underfloor heating, solar PV, EV charging, and battery storage.

Skills and experience we are looking for

With rapid growth in demand, we are continuing to expand our team with experienced Solar Panel Installers and/or those with experience in roofing and the building industry.

Key responsibilities

Training will be provided to the right candidates, to ensure you have the knowledge and safety qualifications to complete all work to a high standard, with lots of development opportunities available for those with the ability and desire to progress.

The Solar Panel Installer role will involve working alongside experienced electricians / installers to install solar panels on mainly domestic properties and will involve working at heights and the ability to carry and lift panels, as well as effectively communicating with customers – solving problems and challenges as they arise.

A driving licence is essential, though all travel required will be locally based.

Other key responsibilities will include completion of relevant paperwork in a timely manner and providing ongoing help and support as the work is carried out.

We hold accreditation with NICEIC, Gas Safe, OFTEC registration, MCS installer certification, FGAS certified and REFCOM accredited. Green Building Renewables is also a member of the Renewable Energy Consumer Code (RECC) and always ensure work is completed to the highest possible standards.

Work Experience

Essential

• Previous and demonstrable experience installing solar panels and / or roofing experience, with relevant qualifications

Desirable

• Experience in the renewable energy sector and or working on roofs within the construction industry is highly desirable
