For more than 25 years, JUWI has been a pioneer in the energy revolution. As a 100% subsidiary of MVV Energie AG, JUWI offers turnkey project development and Engineering, Procurement and Construction services as well as technical and commercial operations and maintenance for renewable energy plants. With around 1.300 employees, more than 1,000 wind energy and over 1,800 PV systems implemented, JUWI has established itself as a major player in renewable energies.

In the EMEA region JUWI has European subsidiaries in Italy (Verona) and Greece (Athens) besides the wind and solar energy activities in home market Germany. From the subsidiary in South Africa (Cape Town) they particularly serve the Sub-Sahara markets with photovoltaic and wind projects. In the EMEA region (excluding Germany) JUWI has installed approximately 725 megawatts of solar capacity since 2007.

Objectives

The Global Business Initiatives team is JUWI's new technology hub, catalyzing new business opportunities. We survey technological trends, equip our colleagues with up-to-date insights, and help teams advance their preliminary ideas to executable proposals for key decision-makers.

As a working student in the Global Business Initiatives Team at JUWI you will be actively supporting our methodological work in a global (virtual) setting, as well as in depth research work on new trends and technologies. You will be responsible to contribute to the Global Business Initiatives Teams’ goals in a self-starter manner and bring in your own ideas.

These are your potential tasks:

• Project management: You take responsibility for sub-projects in trend identification and evaluation
• Research: You support research activities of various topics and settings
• Contribution: You actively support the planning and execution of workshops and innovation projects
• Optimization: You constantly evaluate topics and engagements with your fresh “outside” perspective
• Communication: You are driving initiatives to help communicate the GBI mission internally

Your Profile

• You are studying for a degree in economics, engineering or environmental science, or are a student in another field of study with an understanding of and interest in the above-mentioned subject areas
• Your working style is characterized by reliability, a high degree of independence and the ability to understand complex topics quickly
• You can manage a high level of commitment and the discreet handling of confidential information
• Affinity towards new technologies and trends
• Overall high level of curiosity
