Job Summary

The Director of Solar and Roofing Sales will be responsible for driving the growth and profitability of our solar and roofing divisions. This senior leadership role, which reports directly to ownership involves developing and executing strategic sales plans, building and managing a high-performing sales team, and fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales management, a deep understanding of the solar and roofing industries, and a passion for sustainability. Key Responsibilities

Strategic Planning and Execution

  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue goals.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify opportunities and threats.
  • Set sales objectives and KPIs, and ensure alignment with overall company goals.

Team Leadership and Management

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of sales professionals, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluation.
  • Foster a collaborative and results-oriented sales culture that encourages professional growth and development.
  • Conduct regular sales meetings and provide ongoing coaching and support to the sales team.

Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders to drive business growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Oversee the development of proposals, presentations, and contracts to secure new business opportunities.
  • Ensure excellent customer service and address any issues or concerns promptly and effectively.

Sales Operations and Reporting

  • Oversee the sales pipeline and ensure accurate forecasting and reporting of sales activities and results.
  • Collaborate with marketing, operations, and finance teams to streamline processes and enhance overall sales effectiveness.
  • Utilize CRM systems and other sales tools to manage customer data and track sales performance.

Product Knowledge and Innovation

  • Stay informed about the latest advancements in solar and roofing technologies and industry best practices.
  • Work closely with the product development team to provide feedback and insights for product enhancements and new offerings.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-6 years of sales experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within the solar or roofing industry.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets and driving business growth.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse sales team.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinker with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Proficient in CRM software and other sales tools.
