The Associate Site Operator will be responsible for supporting the daily operation, planned and corrective maintenance, and grounds keeping functions of a renewable energy (solar/wind/battery storage) project. They will be responsible for ensuring all tasks and activities in the region are performed in accordance with industry best practices, industry best safety practices, RWE Clean Energy procedures, plans, and guidelines as well as all pertinent laws and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Support production of renewable energy at all plants in the region
- Perform warehouse duties including shipping and receiving as assigned
- Help resolve operational abnormalities
- Repair and maintain plant components
- Train with site operations personnel to achieve level of competence required to operate and maintain a renewable energy facility
- Manage contractors as required
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Technical school certificates would be a plus
- Minimum 1 year experience in power plant construction/operations environment preferred
- Prior experience utilizing field mobile maintenance equipment such as, tractor, forklift, trencher, etc.
- Prior experience with power generation, renewable and gas facilities is a plus
- Excellent technical, analytical and communication skills, strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Teams
- Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to manage customer relationships
- Demonstrated desire to learn about the Company and the renewables space
- Strong leadership and communication, and ability to meet deadlines
- Strong organization skills and ability to coordinate multiple tasks and deliverables
- Ability to multi-task, while working independently and as part of a team
- Motivated self-starter, goal-oriented, and strong problem-solving abilities
- Proven ability to empathize, build relationships, and effectively communicate with people from a diverse set of backgrounds
- Responds well to direction, is easy to challenge and develop, and is coachable
- Is detail-oriented, has strong business acumen, and a sound understanding of business concepts
- Pushing/pulling/lifting tools and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Walking/climbing/standing extensively during the workday
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to work within tight deadlines
- Ability to multitask
- Unrestricted Driver’s license required
- This position is a field based role with office responsibilities as well
- Will require some travel and visits to other RWECE office and field locations
- Must be able to sit, walk, or stand for long durations of time
